PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type root crop harvester capable of harvesting root crops planted in a ridge covered with a mulch film satisfactorily and continuously.SOLUTION: A walking-type root crop harvester is provided with a foliage pulling up device 14 and a foliage part clamping/conveying device 16. A planting hole expansion device 23 for expanding a planting hole of a mulch film M while engaging therewith is provided at the front side of the foliage pulling up device 14.
