PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article where lateral leakage of excretion is unlikely to occur.SOLUTION: A pair of leakage prevention cuffs 5, 5 have fixed parts 52 partially fixed onto a skin facing surface of surface sheets 2 respectively and are provided with hydrophobic leakage prevention cuff forming sheets 50 having free end parts 55 inward in a horizontal direction Y of the fixed parts 52. The surface sheets 2 have in a center part in the horizontal direction Y leakage prevention cuff non-overlapping areas 2M that do not overlap the sheets 50 in a planar view in an unfolded and stretched state of an absorbent article 1A.
