PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which, when subjecting a calcium 3-hydroxy-3-methyl butyrate (hereinafter referred to as "HMB-Ca")-containing beverage to disinfection/sterilization by heating, does not generate precipitates of and turbidity due to calcium salts of organic acids and/or amino acids, and to provide a HMB-Ca-containing beverage obtained by the method, having no generation of precipitates of and turbidity due to calcium salts of organic acids and/or amino acids.SOLUTION: The method for producing a HMB-Ca-containing beverage having no precipitates nor turbidity comprises: adding, to an aqueous solution containing HMB-Ca in a concentration of 2 g/100 mL or less, 4 to 6 equivalents of a hydrochloric acid salt of ornithine, 2 to 6 equivalents of ornithine aspartate, or 2 to 6 equivalents of sodium aspartate relative to the HMB-Ca adjusting pH of the solution to less than 4 by further adding an organic acid or a salt thereof subsequently heating the solution under a heating condition of 65 to 100°C for 10 seconds to 25 minutes and cooling the solution to 4°C to 25°C over a period of 0.1 hour to 2 days.
