PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a citral deterioration inhibitor that is excellent in an efficacy of suppressing citral from deteriorating and is used for a citral-containing liquid food, and a liquid food containing the deterioration inhibitor.SOLUTION: A liquid food contains 0.0075 to 15 ppm of citral and contains an extract A obtained by extracting leaves and/or branches of lemon myrtle with water or an organic solvent of which water content is 50% or more by weight, and an extract B obtained by water-solubilizing after extracting a bark and/or branches of a Myrica rubra with an organic solvent, such that P=(X1×Y1)/(X2×Y2) is 0.4 to 55, and Q=[X1×Y1)+(X2×Y2)]/100 is 7 to 3600.
