PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest control composition which contains a food or a food additive as a main ingredient and exhibits the quick effectivity of insect control effect and excellent capturing effect.SOLUTION: The insect pest control composition is characterized by comprising the following (a), (b) and (c), wherein the sum [a+b] of the contents of the ingredients a and b is 0.1-15 mass% based on the total amount of the composition the mass ratio [a/b] of the ingredients a and b is 1/2-4/1 the content of the ingredient c is 60-99.5 mass% per the total amount of the composition.
