A process for separating a mixture of alkyl ester enantiomers comprising contacting the mixture with an enzyme effective to preferably stimulate the hydrolysis of one of the enantiomers； characterized in that the contact is carried out in the presence of a buffer, in which the alkyl ester has the following formula: in which: R25 is an amino protecting group； and R26 is selected from the group consisting of C1-10 alkyl, C6-14 aryl, C7-16 alkylaryl, C3-7 cycloalkyl or C3-10 cycloalkyl alkyl.Un proceso para separar una mezcla de enantiómeros de éster alquílico que comprende poner encontacto la mezcla con una enzima eficaz para estimular preferiblemente la hidrólisis de uno de losenantiómeros； caracterizado porque el contacto se lleva a cabo en presencia de un tampón, en el que el éster alquílico tiene la siguiente fórmula: en la que: R25 es un grupo protector del amino； y 10 R26 se selecciona entre el grupo constituido por alquilo C1-10, arilo C6-14, alquilarilo C7-16, cicloalquilo C3-7 o cicloalquil alquilo C3-10.
