Disclosed is a driving assisting device for a wheelchair capable of self-access, which comprises: a mounting frame installed on a frame of a manual-type wheelchair having a front wheel and a rear wheel to be long in the widthwise direction of the wheelchair； a main frame for supporting the whole thing； a stem frame inserted into the main frame to be able to rotate, on whose one side a steering wheel is formed, and on whose other side a driving wheel driven by a separate driving motor is combined； a connecting frame formed to be long, whose one side is connected to the main frame and whose other side has a combining unit combined with the mounting frame； and a guide unit placed on the connecting frame to control length of a part, whose one side is combined with the mounting frame for the length to be selectively reduced and which guides for the combining unit to approach the mounting frame without breaking away.본 발명은 전륜과 후륜을 가지는 수동식 휠체어의 프레임에 상기 휠체어의 폭 방향을 따라 길게 설치되는 장착프레임, 전체를 지지하는 메인프레임, 상기 메인프레임에 회전 가능하게 삽입 고정되고, 일측에는 조향핸들이 형성되며, 타측에는 별도의 구동모터에 의해 구동하는 주행바퀴가 결합되는 스템프레임, 길게 형성되며 일측이 상기 메인프레임상에 연결되고, 타측에 상기 장착프레임과 결합되는 결합부를 가지는 연결프레임 및 상기 연결프레임상에서 일부가 길이조절이 가능하도록 구비되며, 일측이 상기 장착프레임에 결합되어 선택적으로 길이가 줄어들며 상기 결합부가 상기 장착프레임에 이탈되지 않고 접근하도록 가이드 하는 가이드유닛을 포함하는 자가접근이 가능한 휠체어용 주행보조장치가 개시된다.
