PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell with high safety which is produced from human skin and useful for treating central neurological diseases.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing the cell for treating neurological diseases comprising: a tissue collection step of collecting a cell-containing tissue from human skin； an enzyme solution immersion step of immersing the tissue obtained by the former step in an enzyme solution containing a protease； an inhibitor solution immersion step of immersing the tissue obtained by the enzyme solution immersion step in an inhibitor solution containing a protease inhibitor； and a culture step of culturing the cell obtained by the steps. The inhibitor solution contains the protease inhibitor excess to the quantity necessary for inhibiting the protease, and the culture step is performed by using a serum-free medium, using no nutrition supporting cell, and exchanging the medium during the culture by a method of adding a fresh medium to the medium in use for the culture and then removing a part of the medium.【課題】安全性が高くヒト皮膚から製造される中枢神経疾患を治療するための細胞の提供。【解決手段】ヒト皮膚から細胞を含む組織を採取する組織採取工程：前記工程で得られた組織を、タンパク質分解酵素を含む酵素溶液中に浸漬する酵素溶液浸漬工程：前記酵素溶液浸漬工程で得られた組織を、タンパク質分解酵素阻害剤を含む阻害剤溶液に浸漬する阻害剤溶液浸漬工程及び：以上の工程で得られた細胞を培養する培養工程：により得られる神経系疾患を治療するための細胞の製造方法であって、前記阻害剤溶液としては、前記タンパク質分解酵素を阻害するのに必要とされるよりも過剰のタンパク質分解酵素阻害剤を含むものを用い、前記培養工程では、無血清培地を用い、また、栄養支持細胞を用いることなく、更に培養中に、培養に用いられている培地に新しい培地を添加してからその一部を除去して行う方法で培地交換を行うこと、を特徴とする方法を提供する。【選択図】図５
