PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fitness when putting on a disposable paper diaper, to facilitate put-on work and to improve the appearance of a product.
SOLUTION: The disposable paper diaper comprises an absorptive main body 10, an exterior sheet 20 for the back section and an exterior sheet 30 for the front section. A mechanical engagement type fastener means 43 which can be engaged with the outer surface side of the exterior sheet 30 for the front section when putting it on is provided on both side parts and inner surface side of the exterior sheet 20 for the back section. All elastic members disposed at the waist part of the front section are finely cut off over the entire length. The width dimension of the exterior sheet 20 for the back section is set larger than the exterior sheet 30 for the front section in the state of being extended in the width direction. Also, in a product state wherein the contraction force of the elastic members is acting, the width dimension of the exterior sheet 30 for the front section and the width dimension of the exterior sheet 20 for the back section are formed to be almost equal.
