PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bread crumb-containing powder mixture for fried squid-like food products, capable of adhering to the whole surface of the squid in a uniform state, with excellent adhesion to the surface of sliced squid, allowing fried squid-like food products to be easily obtained by baking in a frying pan.SOLUTION: In a bread crumb-containing powder mixture, 1 to 20% (w/w) of wheat gluten, starch and powder soy sauce are contained. The bread crumb-containing powder mixture is adhered to the surface of slices of squid or the like, so as to be cooked with heat in a cooking tool such as a frying pan. Consequently fried squid-like food products having a desirable appearance, texture and flavor can be conveniently cooked.
