SPLICER WITH A LOOP FORMER FOR ADJUSTING THE OPENING LENGTH AND WITHDRAWING THE THREAD AS WELL AS A WINDING STATION AND WINDING MACHINE COMPRISING SUCH A SPLICER
The invention relates to a splicer (8) for splicing an upper (4) and lower thread (4), comprising - a splicing channel (26), - an upper thread clamp (30) and an upper cutting device (32) above and a lower thread clamp (34) and a lower cutting device (36) below the splicing channel (26), - an upper and a lower opening tube (38) respectively between the splicing channel (26) and upper (32) or lower (36) cutting device, - and an upper and a lower loop former (24, 40, 41, 41) respectively between a splicing channel (26) and upper (32) or lower (36) cutting device for forming a respective opening thread loop (50) in the lower (4) or upper thread (4) prior to cutting by the upper (32) or lower (36) cutting device for adjusting the respective opening length of the lower (4) or upper thread (4) in the upper or lower opening tube (38), characterised in that - the upper and the lower loop former (24, 40) are arranged respectively between the thread passways of the lower (4) and upper thread (4™) for forming a respective withdrawal thread loop (51) in the upper (4) or lower thread (4) for pulling back the respective opened thread end in the lower or in the upper opening tube (38) from the upper (4) or lower thread (4) in the splicing channel (26). However, the invention also relates to a winding station and a winding machine comprising such a splicer.
