PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sugar-coated chewing gum composition reliably eliminating substance adhering to the teeth and coat of tongue, and having preferable texture and actual cleaning feeling: and to provide a method for producing sugar-coated chewing gum.
SOLUTION: The sugar-coated chewing gum composition includes: a chewing gum body a sugar-coating inner layer coating the surface of the chewing gum body and a sugar-coating outer layer coating the sugar-coating inner layer, wherein the chewing gum body contains (A) polyphosphate selected from straight-chain polyphosphate and cyclic polyphosphate and (B) erythritol having an average particle diameter of 200-2,000 &mum, the sugar-coating inner layer contains maltitol, the sugar-coating outer layer contains maltitol and sorbitol, and the surface of the sugar-coating outer layer is made rough into a pearskin state. The method for producing sugar-coated chewing gum includes (i) a step for forming the chewing gum body, (ii) a step for forming the sugar-coating inner layer, and (iii) a step for forming the sugar-coating outer layer formed by applying sugar-coating syrup over the surface of the sugar-coating inner layer to make the surface rough into a pearskin state while innumerable dome-like protruding parts are accumulated on the sugar-coating inner layer.
