A method of testing for leakage of a pulp chamber in a modified extracted tooth is provided, wherein the modified extracted tooth comprises enamel, dentine and a pulp chamber. The method comprises: (a) providing an extracted tooth which has been modified by removal of roots and dental pulp so as to create a pulp chamber, the pulp chamber having an opening at one end thereof, which opening is defined by a rim (b) attaching a first end of a first tube to the rim of the pulp chamber so as to provide an air-tight seal between the first tube and the rim (c) placing the modified extracted tooth into a liquid (d) supplying a compressed gas into the pulp chamber via the first tube and (e) determining visually whether or not bubbles of the gas are released into the liquid at the enamel of the tooth.La présente invention concerne un procédé de test détanchéité dune chambre pulpaire dans une dent extraite modifiée, la dent extraite modifiée comprenant de lémail, de la dentine et une chambre pulpaire. Le procédé comprend : (a) lobtention dune dent extraite qui a été modifiée par lélimination des racines et de la pulpe dentaire afin de créer une chambre pulpaire, la chambre pulpaire ayant une ouverture à lune de ses extrémités, ladite ouverture étant définie par un rebord (b) la fixation dune première extrémité dun premier tube au rebord de la chambre pulpaire afin de former un joint étanche à lair entre le premier tube et le rebord (c) le placement de la dent extraite modifiée dans un liquide (d) lintroduction dun gaz comprimé dans la chambre pulpaire par lintermédiaire du premier tube et (e) la détermination de manière visuelle de la libération ou non de bulles du gaz dans le liquide au niveau de lémail de la dent.
