PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing, capable of easily holding a fishing rod and a reel body by one hand, as well as skillfully operating an operation member for adjusting the output of a motor by the thumb of the hand, and having sufficient holdability during operating the operation member and even when a big load is suddenly applied.SOLUTION: An electric reel for fishing includes a spool around which a fishline is wound, a drive motor installed to a reel body 5 and rotatively driving the spool, an operation member 30 for adjusting the output of the drive motor, and a control case 15 in which a control unit for controlling the drive motor is housed.
