PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsified composition having high stability and excellent use feeling which is usable for skin external preparation such as cosmetic and quasi drug.SOLUTION: An emulsified composition contains: (1) monoalkyl glyceryl ether or monoalkenyl glyceryl ether having an alkyl group or an alkenyl group of a straight chain or a branched chain with carbon number 8 to 22 (2) higher fatty acid (3) lecithin and/or ceramide and (4) polyhydric alcohol. An oil-in-water type emulsified composition contains oil phase by 1 to 40 mass% in the entire emulsified composition.
