PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilization of used absorbent sanitary products before recycling the constituents from the products.SOLUTION: The method for sterilization of used absorbent sanitary products includes the steps of: loading a rotary cylindrical autoclave 14 with used absorbent sanitary products； and heating and pressurizing the autoclave to a sterilization temperature and at the same time driving the autoclave in rotation about a longitudinal axis A thereof. In the step of heating and pressurizing the autoclave, the products contained in the autoclave are made at a first temperature state and the inner surface of the autoclave is made at a second temperature state, the temperature of which is higher than that of the first temperature state.【課題】使用済み吸収性衛生用品から構成材料をリサイクルする前に、用品を滅菌する方法を提供する。【解決手段】回転式円筒オートクレーブ１４に使用済み吸収性衛生用品をロードする段階と、オートクレーブを滅菌温度に達するよう加熱および加圧するとともにオートクレーブをその長手方向軸Ａの周りに回転させる段階とを備え、加熱および加圧する段階においては、オートクレーブ内の用品を第１温度状態とし、かつ、オートクレーブ内面を第１温度より高い第２温度状態とする、使用済み吸収性衛生用品を滅菌する方法。【選択図】図１
