PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzymatic production method for a brain-function-improving peptide.SOLUTION: The method for producing a brain-function-improving peptide includes a step of hydrolyzing milk casein by an enzymatic catalyst including a protease to produce a hydrolysate including (i) a peptide comprising a specific amino acid sequence or a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence in which one or two amino acid residues are deleted, substituted or added in this amino acid sequence, (ii) a peptide comprising another specific amino acid sequence or a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence in which one or two amino acid residues are deleted, substituted or added in this amino acid sequence, or (iii) a mixture of the peptides of (i) and (ii). The generation yield of each of the peptides is at least 2% or the total generation yield of the mixture is at least 10%.
