The present invention provides an apoptosis inducer and the like that can easily induce apoptosis of various cells including tumor cells. The apoptosis-inducing agent of the present invention comprises the following peptide (a) or (b), a derivative thereof, or a salt thereof. (A) A peptide comprising the amino acid sequence represented by the formula: C—X—D—X—X—X—X—Y—X—C—X—C (I).
