PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laver absorbing mechanism of a device for forming vinegared rice rolled in laver, enabling achievement of speeding-up of laver supply.SOLUTION: The laver absorbing mechanism is such that an absorption pad 16 can reciprocate between a laver absorbing position where a sheet-like laver Q is absorbed by the absorption pad 16 by making the absorption pad 16 communicate with an inlet 8a of a movable rack 8 having an intake air fan 6a driven with a laver absorbing motor 6, and a laver supplying position communicated with a laver falling hole 28a of a laver supply guide 28 enabling falling supply of the sheet-like laver Q to a supply side of formed boiled rice by opening the inlet 8a.
