PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laver separating method and laver separating mechanism, for improving reliability of separation supply of a laver sheet from a laver hopper and enabling a reduction or nonpressure of a pressure brought with sending out a bundle of laver sheets in a laver hopper so as to surely supply laver sheets one by one.SOLUTION: The laver separating method and laver separating mechanism are included in a device P for molding vinegared rice rolled in dried laver, having a laver absorbing mechanism 3 which takes out one by one laver sheets Q previously cut in a required size, from a laver hopper 15 with a suction pad 16 and supplies the laver sheets through a laver supply guide to the supply side of molded boiled rice.
