PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which is in the almost same structure as a normal diaper in an absorption pad mounted state though an absorption pad can be taken in and out corresponding to a using scene, and in which the absorption pad is highly integrated, while the position of the absorption pad is not easily shifted, and also the deterioration or the like of a wearing feeling is little.SOLUTION: In the disposable diaper, when arranging a detachable absorption pad 51 inside a housing space between a liquid impermeable sheet 11 and a surface side cover part 13, the surface side cover part 13 is configured by joining a liquid permeable first cover sheet 30 extending from an edge part on one side of the width direction to the other side and a liquid permeable second cover sheet 40 extending from the edge part on the other side of the width direction to the one side, while the peripheral part of the housing space 14 of the first and second cover sheets 30 and 40 is fixed to the liquid impermeable sheet 11, the part on the housing space 14 is not fixed, and the detachable absorption pad 51 is taken in and out of the housing space 14 from the joint of the first and second cover sheets 30 and 40.
