Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein wasserhaltiges kosmetisches Mittel zum Färben von keratinischen Fasern, welches einen pH-Wert im Bereich von 1,0 bis 5,5 besitzt und mindestens einen direktziehenden Säurefarbstoff und bezogen auf das Gewicht des Mittels, 6 bis 12 Gew.-% organisches Lösemittel, das zu 80 –100 Gew.-% aus Propylencarbonat und zu 0 – 20 Gew.-% aus Benzylalkohol besteht, enthält. Die Zusammensetzung des organischen Lösemittels wurde für die Schaumapplikation optimiert. La composition du solvant organique est optimisée pour l'application de la mousse. Les compositions de l'invention sont caractérisées par des propriétés de mousse optimales, en particulier par une stabilité de la mousse, ainsi que par une excellente capacité de tenue de couleur.
