PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cone beam artifacts more than before.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, an X-ray CT apparatus includes an extraction processing part, a direction determination part, a correction amount adjustment part, and an image generation part. The extraction processing part extracts a bone region of a high X-ray absorption rate as a high absorption region from image data generated before main scanning. The direction determination part determines a straight line indicating the direction of the high absorption region as a direction line, on the basis of input information or the shape of the high absorption region. The correction amount adjustment part calculates the inclination angle of the advancing direction of a cone beam X-ray in the main scanning and the direction line, and adjusts the correction amount of correction processing of the cone beam artifact on the basis of the inclination angle.
