PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage machine equipped with a control part for controlling a massage mechanism which continuously and uniformly massages the area from a neck to the shoulder through which "meridian" passes.SOLUTION: The massage machine is constituted so that the massage mechanism 3a having a pair of left and right massage elements 311a is provided in a backrest part 11a. The massage mechanism 3a has a forward and backward moving drive part 36a for moving the massage mechanism 3a itself in forward and backward directions with respect to the backrest part 11a and a raising and lowering drive part 33a for raising and lowering the massage mechanism 3a along the up and down direction of the backrest part 11a and the contact position of the massage elements 311a with the neck part of a person to be massaged when the massage elements 311a are protruded forward is set to a neck part contact reference position f1.
