PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method as an easy means for reducing acetic acid odor (sharp stimulating odor derived from acetic acid) of acetic acid-containing food and drink without giving adverse effects to taste of food, and to provide acetic acid-containing food and drink reduced in acetic acid odor.

SOLUTION: This method for reducing acetic acid odor of the acetic acid-containing food and drink includes adding hexanal to food and drink containing 0.1-10 mass% acetic acid so as to bring a content mass ratio of acetic acid to hexanal to 100:0.00001 to 100:0.001. The acetic acid-containing food and drink obtained by the method is also provided. A method for reducing acetic acid odor of cereal processed food includes adding hexanal to cereal processed food containing 0.01-0.06 mass% acetic acid so as to bring a content mass ratio of acetic acid to hexanal to 100:0.0001 to 100:0.01. The cereal processed food obtained by the method is also provided.
