PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical operation instrument where operability is improved by allowing the fingertips of an operator to be adequately put on an operation part.SOLUTION: A surgical operation instrument comprises: an operation part 1 arranged on a proximal end side and a function part 2 arranged on a distal end side to hold or cut, etc. an object. The operation part 1 comprises: a pair of a grip 5A and a grip 5B that are turnably connected at a turning axis 4A a joint part 6 for energizing the grips 5A, 5B in mutually separating directions and fingertip lock parts 8A, 8B arranged in the respective grips 5A, 5B so as to project from the external front surfaces. The function part 2 holds or cuts, etc. an object by turning with a turning axis 4B as a fulcrum. A sliding shaft 3 for transmitting the turning force of the turning axis 4A to the turning axis 4B by a linear motion is arranged between the turning axis 4A and the turning axis 4B.
