PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide colored inorganic oxide particles with a dye fixed on the surface thereof, etc., a method for producing such colored particles, and a cosmetic comprising the colored particle.SOLUTION: The porous alumina-silica particles comprise an alumina component composed of alumina particles having a specific surface area of 5-400 m2/g and an average particle size of 0.01-10 &mum, and a silica component composed of an average particle size of 0.005-0.5 &mum and/or a dehydration-polycondensation product of liquid silicic acid. Colored alumina-silica particles are produced by fixing an acid dye to the alumina component present on an outer surface of the porous alumina-silica particles and on an inner surface of pores of the porous particles.
