PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber base material having high adsorption effect for harmful substances.SOLUTION: A base material for a disposable absorber has a liquid permeable surface sheet, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet, and an absorption sheet arranged between the liquid permeable surface sheet and the liquid impermeable rear surface sheet as components. The base material for the absorber has a specific surface of at least one of the components of 10 m2/g or more.
