PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality preserving agent for food products containing an organic agent as a main ingredient, which have both functions of oxygen absorption and alcohol volatilization, solves problems such as generation of acetaldehyde and deterioration of oxygen absorption rate, and has no restriction on inspection of metallic foreign materials by a metal detector.SOLUTION: Provided is a quality preserving agent for food products comprising ethanol, glycerin, an alkaline compound, and an oxidation reaction accelerating substance, and an adsorbent comprising silica and vermiculite, where a mixing ratio of ethanol and glycerin is 1:1.5 to 1:10.
