PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent conductive film which can be used for a transparent heating element, has relatively high sheet resistance, can be stably supplied, and has high transmittance, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The transparent conductive film formed on a transparent substrate contains indium tin oxide (ITO) as a main material, is doped with nitrogen and silicon oxide, and is for a transparent heating element. The transparent conductive film has a sheet resistance of 1000-30000 &OHgr;/sq and a transmittance at a wavelength of 550 nm of 96% or more.
