PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture needle wherein grinding processing burr is removed and the thrust resistance of a blade part is reduced, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The puncture needle 1 includes a needle tip wherein a first blade surface 12 having a cut surface making an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of a needle tube 10 made from a metal tube, a pair of ground surfaces 13 formed by grinding the leading end part of the first blade surface in a manner linearly symmetric to the center axis of a needle tube from both sides of a tube axis and a cutting edge 14 being the ridgeline of tube thickness where the first blade surface and a pair of the ground surfaces or a pair of the ground surfaces cross each other are formed to one end of the needle tube 10. The blade edge is formed by a curved line due to the recess of the tube thickness.
