PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture needle having an appropriate penetrability, having an extremely favorable operability in suture and suited to when suturing a wall part of a vascular channel of a living body such as a blood vessel and a lymphatic vessel.SOLUTION: The suture needle is inward curved and has a chamfer portion 4 on a curved outer face from a needle distal end 3 of a circular-cross-sectioned tip 2 to a proximal-direction predetermined position P1, the chamfer portion being chamfered at a surface passing through the needle distal end 3. The chamfer portion may be a flat surface and may include, at left/right side edges, side-edge blades extending to the needle distal end.
