PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for taking out shellfish which releases workers from severe labor by automating a taking out operation of the shellfish from a basket for cultivation, and speeds up the taking out operation of the shellfish.SOLUTION: The method for taking out shellfish and the device for taking out shellfish, which is capable of taking out the shellfish from the basket for culturing shellfish provided with a taking in/out port for taking out the shellfish, include a conveying body for conveying the basket for cultivation by holding a part of the basket for cultivation, and are configured to take out the shellfish by dropping from the taking in/out port of the basket for cultivation during conveying.
