PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine which hardly causes stay of tailings in a retreating device, even when the tailings are charged in the retreating device in a large amount or even when the charged tailings contain moisture much.SOLUTION: The combine has the retreating device 59 for retreating tailings on the transfer end side of a tailings-returning device 58, 160 for returning the tailings to the threshing device after threshed and graded. An upper transfer port 222 communicated with the tailings-returning device 58, 160 and a lower transfer port 223 communicated with the threshing device are formed in the retreating device 59. A plurality of receiving teeth 227 is arranged between the upper transfer port 222 and the lower transfer port 223 on the inner surface side of the retreating device 59. In a retreating cylinder 161 arranged in the retreating device 59, treating teeth 225 are arranged between the receiving teeth 227.
