PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cut vegetable or fruit.SOLUTION: A cutting device 10 cuts a tomato 1. The cutting device 10 comprises: a fixing tool (buffer material) 22 a fixing tool (buffer material) 32 a cutting tool 64 a shaft 65 a drive part 62 and an elastic body 70. The fixing tools 22, 32 fix a material to be cut. The cutting tool 64 has on at least one end side of it, a tip 68a. The tip 68a faces the fixing tools 22, 32. The shaft 65 rotatably supports the cutting tool 64. The drive part moves in a linear state the shaft 65. A direction vertical to a movement direction of the shaft 65 is an axial center direction of the shaft 65. The elastic body 70 pulls the other end part of the cutting tool 64. Before movement of the shaft 65 (initial position), an angle of the tip 68a to the movement direction becomes maximum.
