PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material for pet urination, which has both an effect for making urine to pass in a state controlling a urine absorption rate and a urine absorption quantity and a low water-absorbing effect for gradually absorbing residual urine wetting the surfaces of granules, has such rich shape retention property as not collapsing even absorbing urine, and richly has suitability as a floor material for pet urination.SOLUTION: This floor material for pet urination is characterized by covering the surface of each water-absorbing granule 1 with a semi-permeable membrane 6 having 1-30% of coefficient of water permeability, accelerating the passage of urine between the water-absorbing granules 1 with the semi-permeable membrane 6, and gradually absorbing the residual urine 8 wetting the surface of the water semi-permeable membrane 6 into the water-absorbing granule 1 through the semi-permeable membrane 6.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】排尿吸収速度と吸収量を抑制して通過せしめる効果と、粒状物の表面を濡らす残尿を漸次吸収する低吸水性効果を併有し、更に吸収しても崩壊しない保形性に富み、愛玩動物の排尿用床材としての適性を富有する排尿用床材を提供する。【解決手段】吸水性粒状物1′の表面を透水率が1~30%の半透水膜にて被覆し、該半透水膜6にて上記吸水性粒状物1′間における排尿の通過を促すと共に、該半透水膜6の表面を濡らす残尿分8を同半透水膜6を通し吸水性粒状物1′内へ吸収することを特徴とする愛玩動物の排尿用床材。【選択図】 図2
