PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article sufficiently providing a leakage prevention effect of three-dimensional gathers despite the body type or posture of a wearer and capable of surely fixing urine absorbing pads having sizes of from small to large and varied delicately in dimensions and shape according to every manufacturer.
SOLUTION: This absorbent article 1A consists of an absorber 22, a top sheet 18 having at least a part made of a liquid permeable material and disposed to cover the surface of the absorber 22, a back sheet 20 made of a liquid impermeable material and disposed to cover the back side of the absorber 22, and a pair of three-dimensional gathers 26A made of a water-repellent sheet and disposed in both sides of the absorber 22, wherein a part of the surface of each three-dimensional gather 26A is temporarily fixed to at least one surface of the surface of the top sheet 18 and the surface of the three-dimensional gather 26A itself.
