The present invention relates to an antithrombotic composition containing an ethyl acetate fraction of a Silk of Zea mays Linne extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for preventing or treating/ameliorating thrombosis through blood coagulation inhibition by containing an ethyl acetate fraction of a hot water extract of Silk of Zea mays Linne as an active ingredient. As being proved through an embodiment of the present specification, an ethyl acetate fraction of a Silk of Zea mays Linne extract as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for preventing or treating thrombosis of the present invention: exhibits strong antithrombotic activity by inhibiting thrombogenesis-related enzymes and blood coagulation factors； does not show hemolytic activity to human red blood cells at all； has excellent thermal stability； and does not exhibit loss in effects of inhibiting the thrombogenesis-related enzymes and the blood coagulation factors even at an acidic condition of pH 2 and within blood plasma at the same time.
