PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid appropriately assisting a user in walking from the start of walking.SOLUTION: The walking aid includes: a leg brace to be attached along a leg of the user a gravity center sensor for detecting the center of gravity of the user and a controller for controlling the leg brace. The leg brace has a motor for adding torque to a joint of the leg. The controller controls the leg brace in such a way that the joint angle of the leg of the user follows a target angle, and generates the target angle according to the quantity of movement of the center of gravity in the lateral direction.
