PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively evaluating the rigidity of a walking aid having a joint portion according to the actual usage state.SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating a walking aid including a foot frame, a lower leg frame rotatably connected to the foot frame by an ankle joint portion, an upper limb frame rotatably connected to the lower leg frame by a knee joint portion, and an actuator for adding a torque to the knee joint portion, by use of an evaluation tool including a base portion, a foot portion fixed to the base portion, a lower leg portion rotatably connected to the foot portion by an ankle rotating portion, and an upper limb portion rotatably connected to the lower leg portion by a knee rotating portion, the walking aid is installed to the evaluation tool, and the upper limb portion is loaded toward the base portion in a state where the actuator is controlled so as to apply, to the knee joint portion, a torque in a direction from a current angle to a target angle to detect a displacement of the upper limb portion.
