PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized/lightweight seedling transplanting apparatus for stably planting in high speed pot seedlings (b) fed on a transverse conveyor belt 7 on a farming field 33 along with stabilizing the planted posture of the pot seedlings and preventing occurrence of miss-planted points. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanting apparatus has the following scheme and works as follows: under the transverse conveyor belt 7, a transplanting rod 20 with a seedling-receiving part 21 on the tip is set up so that the seedling- receiving part 21 make a vertical motion with a motional locus 25 of extended nearly ellipsoidal closed loop, pot seedlings (b) are received via one end of the conveyor belt into the seedling-receiving part 21 at a nearly upper limit position in the ascending motion thereof and then planted in a farming field at a nearly lower limit position in the descending motion thereof; whereas a seedling-receiving member 9 is provided on the upper surface of the conveyor belt 7.
