PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a hip flap portion excellent in fitting property and air permeability.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a main body part 2 extending in a longitudinal direction L and a hip flap portion 5 extending outward in a width direction W from the main body part 2. The absorbent article 1 is configured so that: the hip flap portion 5 comprises: a first sheet 12 having a skin contact surface 11 and a second sheet 13 disposed on a clothing side relative to the first sheet 12. The first sheet 12 is a nonwoven fabric including an irregular structure having recess parts 33 and salient parts 34 on the skin contact surface 11, and has a compression work amount equal to or higher than 0.3 gf cm/cm2 measured on the skin contact surface 11 side.
