PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article easy to manufacture, low in cost and having sufficient holding capacity, absorptive power and permeability even to excrement containing solid content such as loose stool and excrement of high stickiness such as mucus.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes: a top sheet contacting a wearers skin a liquid-impermeable back sheet and an absorber disposed between the top sheet and back sheet. The top sheet has a thickness of 2-6 mm, and is formed with a plurality of holes with a diameter of 5-10 mm penetrating the thickness direction of the top sheet and distributed within the surface of the top sheet.
