PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article hardly generating deep folded wrinkles or twisting, but excellent in fitness, leak prevention capability, and wearing feeling.SOLUTION: An absorber 4 in an absorbent article 1 of this invention comprises an excretion part slit area S composed of a laminate of absorbent sheets, the area S formed in a state in which longitudinal slits 43 and 44 extending along a longitudinal direction X are formed in a plurality of numbers in a dispersed state in an excretion opposing part B, and in the center of the absorber 4 in the excretion opposing part, a center slit area S1 where the longitudinal slits 43 are formed in a specific arrangement. Also in the rear part C, the absorber 4 comprises rear slits 45 extending in a lateral direction Y having a longer direction, the rear slits being shaped in such a manner that the center part of the slits longer direction is located near to the front side than the positions of both end parts of the longer direction, the rear slits being formed in a plurality of numbers apart from the longitudinal direction X.
