PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive absorbent auxiliary pad capable of appropriately preventing a leak of soft stool.SOLUTION: There is provided an absorbent auxiliary pad 1 to be disposed on an absorbent article, the absorbent auxiliary pad including an absorber 20 and a liquid permeable surface material 30. The absorbent auxiliary pad 1 has a flexible columnar shape. At lest in the longer direction, the absorber 20 is covered with the surface material 30. A size of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1 in the longer direction is equal to or longer than 800 mm and equal to or shorter than 1500 mm. A cross-sectional shape of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1 in the height direction is an approximately square shape or approximately circular shape. A cross-sectional outer periphery of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1 in the height direction is equal to or longer than 95 mm and equal to or shorter than 140 mm.
