1/1 summary “composite particle” and process for preparing a composite particle is a composite particle that includes a core with at least one carrier material; a layer of fluidising material on the core surface and an outer layer comprising nanoparticles of an ingestible material distributed in at least one matrix forming material. One process of manufacturing the composite particles includes the steps of coating the dry catalyst particles with a fluidizing material; preparing a nanoparticle suspension of an ingestible material distributed in a matrix forming material and coating the carrier particles in the fluid bed with the suspension. The process and products provide rapidly dissolving composite particles which can be used for the release of poorly water-soluble ingestible materials in suitable dosage forms.
