GENOME SHUFFLING METHOD AND RECURRENT SELECTION BREEDING SYSTEM BASED ON SAME METHOD IN SELF-FERTILIZING PLANT USING DOMINANT MALE STERILITY CONSTRUCTED BY DNA MANIPULATION METHOD
[Problem to be solved] Genetic recombination by cross-fertilization between homologous chromosomes in a heterozygote being able to occur only for several generations after crossing in breeding of self-fertilizing plants is regarded as one of the limitations for self-fertilizing breeding. [Solution] A resulting efficient genome shuffling method and a recurrent selection breeding system based on same method is provided in this invention by having cross-fertilization repeated efficiently without the complicated work of emasculation by constructing individuals having three properties which are 1) dominant male sterility, 2) drug resistance, 3) property to die by induction in a coupling strong linkage relationship which are constructed by using such as a transgenic or a gene targeting DNA manipulation method in a group of self-fertilizing plants such as rice and wheat, then by making effective selection of the male dominant sterile individuals by using the before mentioned property 2) and not male dominant sterile individuals by using the before mentioned property 3) in the following generation and then suitably arranging both individuals during a flowering period and producing seeds from the male sterile individual.
