PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nutritive compositions useful for nutritional management and nutritional therapy of hepatic failure patients, to provide nutritive compositions useful for metabolism and nutritional management of patients under bioinvasion such as surgery, infection and burn, and to provide nutritive compositions useful for improving the disease state of patients in inflammatory disease.
SOLUTION: The fact that a nutritive composition containing, as essential ingredients, hydrolyzate of whey protein, lecithin having lipid metabolism ameliorating action, oil and fat containing much oleic acid and palatinose having insulin saving effects suppresses onset of galactosamine hepatopathy, is found out. Further, the hydrolyzate of whey protein contained in the nutritive compositions suppresses production of endotoxin inductive TNF-&alpha and interleukin 6 (IL-6) in macrophage.
