PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mucin production inhibitor that has excellent effects in expectoration promotion, asthma symptom alleviation and aspiration pneumonia prevention in a respiratory epithelial tissue.SOLUTION: An inhibitor for mucin production in a respiratory epithelial tissue is obtained by the extraction treatment of Allium fistulosum L. with water, hydrous organic solvent or organic solvent.
