PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a juice extractor which reduces the risk of contamination of a sample even when an apparatus is not functioning correctly, and which is simple to clean.SOLUTION: The juice extractor 1 includes: a gas cylinder 40 a compression plate 50 actuated by the gas cylinder 40 for compressing the sample and guide rods 51 connected to the compression plate 50 and configured to be slid in the stroke direction of the gas cylinder 40. Since the gas cylinder 40 does not cause significant contamination even if gas leaks therefrom, the juice extractor 1 may be suitably used for samples such as food and drugs. Constant pressure, discontinuously varying pressure, or continuously varying pressure can also be applied to the sample.
